We are the champions .Yes!! we have won the world cup. For us this time world cup is not brought by just word of mouth like 1983’s world cup. This is not something that we have got from the pages of history. This time we saw it, we prayed, we cheered, we shouted, we feared, we get disappointed, we get thrilled, we get exhilarated, we cried and we won it.
It’s not only important for Sachin but it’s equally important to all of us who were born in 80s and 90s. So far we have been forced to celebrate the legacy of unseen victory of 1983. We were forced to admire the veterans who were not our real heroes. We were using the tag of champion which was never earned by us. We inherited the cup of 1983 we never won it.
When we started playing cricket Sachin became our hero. With Sachin we saw the journey of Indian cricket. Today where Indian cricket stands it’s unarguably because of the god of cricket and because of us. With him we also saw the agony of 1996, glimpse of cup in 2003, dejection of 2007 and now we witness to the victory of 2011.
Its our cup, Its our victory,Its our moment of pride.We are the one who waited for 28 years to see this day. Its our time to celebrate the glory of cup, It our time to shout and say it loudly “WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS”
